And once more I sit here writing the first post of a weblog.

I won’t even count how many times in the past I’ve started and also stopped writing entries to one of many blogs. There isn’t much hope for the success of this blog, as I’ve already proven in the past that perseverance isn’t… well, lets just say it really isn’t my thing. This time will be different however because I’m changing my approach to blogging. I won’t promise to write something every day, and I won’t even promise to write something every week. Promises are hard to keep and easier to break is what I’ve had to learn the hard way, and I bet there’s a connection to my lack of perseverance there. This time there will be no empty promises or impossible goals to reach, there will just be this blog, and me.

I have a dilemma though, because I haven’t been able to decide on what I want to blog about this time. Of course, blogging about my dramatic life would be an easy option, but I might scare people off with all the crazy things that are happening around me right now. And then there’d be the option to just post short stories that would make for more entertaining reading material. It’s a choice that shouldn’t really be too hard to make, but I’m struggling with it anyway. So I figure I’ll just not make the choice at all. Why not blog about both things? I can post a short story one day, and tell you something interesting about my life the next. A combo that should make for an interesting read, hopefully.

And maybe, just maybe, this time this blog’ll thrive and conquer like I’m hoping it will!
